• Banner graphics need to be large and strong to make an impact. Hard-to-read fonts, small text, or weak images won't grab anyone's attention.


• C.R.A.P. design principles – the four golden rules of graphic design – Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, Proximity.


• Use the Rule of Thirds – Don’t place your graphic smack-dab in the center of your banner. Create a natural eye-flow by placing key graphics off-center, but not too close to each other.


• Placing the most important graphical element and message at standing eye level.
